We have an immediate opening for an experienced Phlebotomist. Our lab experiences high volumes of patients of all ages, so you must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. On a daily basis, you will review appointment lists, prepare your draw station, greet patients and lead them to your station, and gather all samples requested by the patient’s health care provider. You must also make sure to label all vials and containers properly for transportation to the testing lab. We prefer candidates who have at least one year of phlebotomy experience, but we are willing to train the right person.

• Assemble and set up medical instruments (needles, test tubes, blood vials, etc.)
• Verify a patient identity while following all HIPAA guidelines
• Monitor and take patient vital signs and heart rate as needed
• Make sure the patient is comfortable and in a good position to draw blood
• Observe if the patient has any negative reactions to the procedure
• Educate patients on immediate aftercare
• Maintain a clean and sanitary space; sterilize supplies properly

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate or license (preferred)
• 6+ months of phlebotomy experience a plus
• Understanding of standard blood drawing practices and procedures
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible schedule (may work nights, evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts)
• Able to stand on feet, bend, and move throughout shift
