Patrol Officer Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be a United States Citizen
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- Meet all statutory qualifications to be eligible for certification by the state
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to handle stress in high pressure or dangerous situations
- Physically and mentally capable of performing essential job functions, including lifting, pushing, pulling and/or moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods of time, operating a vehicle, and operating firearms and other equipment
