Job Summary: As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of dump trucks to transport materials, such as dirt, gravel, sand, or other loose materials, from one location to another. Your primary duty is to ensure the secure transportation of materials to construction sites, disposal areas, or designated locations while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

• Operate dump trucks in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and regulations
• Load and unload materials onto the truck using the appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement
• Drive to and from designated locations, such as construction sites, disposal areas, or supplier facilities, in a timely and responsible manner
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and its equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues or defects to the appropriate personnel
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the truck, ensuring that all necessary tools, equipment, and paperwork are secured and readily accessible
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to the vehicle, cargo, or other individuals on the road or at the job site
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, and other team members to coordinate schedules, deliveries, and pick-ups, ensuring efficient workflow
• Complete accurate records and documentation related to deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other necessary paperwork as required
• Assist in the loading and unloading process, as needed, and ensure that materials are transported in a manner that preserves their quality and integrity
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on the truck and its equipment, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes, and report any major issues for professional servicing

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for operating a dump truck
• Proven experience as a dump truck driver or in a similar driving role, preferably in the construction or transportation industry
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to operating heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
• Ability to operate and maintain a dump truck in a safe and responsible manner, including performing basic maintenance tasks
• Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents in the past five years
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other stakeholders
• Physical fitness and stamina to endure long hours of driving and occasional loading/unloading of materials
• Attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork and maintaining records
•  Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures and adapt to a dynamic work environment
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
