Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and responsible Medical Courier Independent Contractor to ensure the safe and timely transport of medical supplies, specimens, and confidential documents between healthcare facilities and laboratories. • Pick up and deliver medical supplies, specimens, documents, and other related materials between healthcare facilities, clinics, laboratories, and medical offices.
• Safely transport medical cargo using a company-provided vehicle in compliance with all traffic regulations and safety guidelines.
• Ensure the integrity and proper handling of medical specimens, samples, and records during transport to preserve their accuracy and validity.
• Strictly adhere to established protocols to maintain the confidentiality of patient data and protect sensitive medical information.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including the collection and submission of required documentation and signatures.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare professionals, and laboratory personnel to facilitate seamless pick-up and drop-off operations.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance inspections, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and fuel levels, and report any issues or maintenance needs promptly.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills when interacting with healthcare professionals, patients, and other personnel during deliveries.
• Monitor and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including those pertaining to the handling and transportation of hazardous or infectious materials.
• Employ proper infection control practices, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following sanitization procedures for the vehicle and equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a courier or in a related field is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of local roadways and traffic patterns to ensure efficient routing for timely deliveries.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with healthcare professionals and laboratory personnel.
• Ability to handle and transport medical and biohazard materials in strict accordance with established safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy to ensure proper handling and delivery of critical medical specimens and documents.
• Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to prioritize and complete deliveries within specified time frames.
• Demonstrated reliability and a strong sense of responsibility to meet delivery deadlines consistently.
• Ability to work independently and use sound judgement when faced with unexpected circumstances or changes in delivery schedules.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, if required, to accommodate urgent or time-sensitive delivery requests.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening as a part of the hiring process.
