Mechanical Technician Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to help our engineers design and maintain machinery. In this role, while the engineer will do most of the designing, you will be responsible for following their schematics and using hand and power tools to assemble the product. You will also perform preventative maintenance on both the equipment we use and the machines we produce. Our ideal applicant has experience working on an assembly line, familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics, and blueprint reading skills. A welding certificate is also beneficial.
Mechanical Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Aide the engineer in the design process
- Help construct the machine under the guidance of the engineer
- Interpret schematics to ensure your work is accurate
- Run diagnostic tests on equipment and machines
- Fix any issues you find before they cause disruptions
Mechanical Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Welding certificate (preferred)
- Assembly line experience
- Blueprint reading skills
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Attention to detail
