Low Voltage Technician Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, you will primarily work on alarm systems, such as security alarms and fire alarms. However, we may have you work on other wiring projects, such as cable installation, fiber optic cabling, or cat 5 wiring. Our ideal candidate has a certificate that follows the standards set by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and some experience working with low voltage systems.

Low Voltage Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with clients to install systems on-site
  • Respond to repair calls
  • Read blueprints to determine how to best install the components and wiring
  • Test all systems and troubleshoot any issues
  • Teach the client how to use the system

Low Voltage Technician Requirements and Qualifications
