Line Haul Truck Driver Job Summary
Our trucking company is looking for a Line Haul Truck Driver to join our team. You will drive a predetermined delivery route, which allows for a nine to five schedule. While you will work one or two overnights a week, this route is ideal for someone with OTR trucking experience who wants to get home at night and on weekends. Depending on your assigned route, you will be responsible for either live load or drop and hook trailers. Applicants must have a Class A CDL. Doubles endorsement is preferred, and we expect you to earn HAZMAT and tanker endorsements upon hire.
Line Haul Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive predetermined delivery route
- Make deliveries on schedule
- Inspect the vehicle for maintenance issues
- Maintain truck log
- Communicate with the dispatcher and other drivers
Line Haul Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications
- Class A CDL and clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience (1 or more years) preferred
- Doubles endorsement a plus
- HAZMAT and tanker endorsements upon hire
