Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Human Trafficking Advocate to provide support and assistance to survivors of human trafficking. As a Human Trafficking Advocate, you will play a vital role in helping survivors regain their independence, access essential services, and navigate the complexities of recovery. • Victim Support: Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care to survivors of human trafficking to help them cope with the physical and emotional aftermath of exploitation.
• Case Management: Conduct comprehensive assessments of survivors' needs and develop individualized service plans to address their physical, mental health, legal, and social needs.
• Resource Referrals: Connect survivors with a network of social services, including shelter, medical care, counseling, legal aid, and educational opportunities, ensuring they have access to the resources they require.
• Safety Planning: Collaborate with survivors to develop safety plans tailored to their unique circumstances and provide guidance on risk reduction and personal safety.
• Advocacy: Advocate on behalf of survivors within the criminal justice system, social services agencies, and other organizations to ensure their rights are protected and their needs are met.
• Public Awareness: Raise awareness about human trafficking by participating in public education and outreach efforts, including workshops, training sessions, and community events.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and confidential records of survivor interactions, services provided, and progress made in compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
• Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations promptly and effectively, providing immediate assistance to survivors in distress.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with law enforcement, legal professionals, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to survivor care.
• Policy Advocacy: Advocate for policies and legislation that address the root causes of human trafficking and improve services for survivors.

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Previous experience in advocacy, social work, or a related field, particularly in working with survivors of trauma and abuse.
• Empathy, compassion, and the ability to establish rapport with survivors from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of the dynamics of human trafficking, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with survivors, professionals, and the community.
• Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with survivors from various cultural backgrounds.
• Familiarity with local and national resources for survivors, including legal, medical, and mental health services.
• Understanding of legal and ethical considerations related to survivor confidentiality and privacy.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and tasks simultaneously.
• Commitment to the principles of social justice and advocacy for vulnerable populations.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and training related to working with survivors of human trafficking.
