Home Care Assistant Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Home Care Assistant to provide in-home care and support services to elderly and disabled individuals in their own homes. The Home Care Assistant will work directly with clients to provide companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, and other necessary services. Home Care Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with light housekeeping, such as laundry and changing linens
- Prepare meals and snacks according to client’s dietary needs and preferences
- Assist with medication reminders and administer medications as needed
- Provide companionship and social interaction to clients
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed
- Transport clients to and from appointments
- Monitor client health, document changes in health, and report to appropriate personnel
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as shopping, errands, and recreational activities
Home Care Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience providing home care services preferred
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Current CPR and first aid certification
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Dedication to providing quality care and support to clients
