Floor Cleaner Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking Floor Cleaner to join our commercial cleaning team. In this role, you will focus on cleaning floor surfacesâvacuuming carpeted areas and sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing hardwood and tile floors. During non-business hours, you may also strip, buff, or wax floor surfaces. Applicants should have some cleaning or janitorial experience, or at least be somewhat familiar with common floor cleaning products and equipment. You must have the physical stamina to perform these tasks for an extended period of time and the strength to temporarily shift furniture out of the way if needed.
Floor Cleaner Duties and Responsibilities
- Vacuum carpeted areas
- Perform additional carpet cleaning tasks as needed
- Sweep or mop hardwood and tile floors
- Strip, buff, and wax floor surfaces as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
- Assist with other cleaning tasks as needed, such as window cleaning
- Move furniture out of the way as needed
Floor Cleaner Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate a plus
- Cleaning experience preferred
- Bilingual communication skills a plus (English/Spanish)
- Physical stamina to perform tasks
- Reliable form of transportation
