Educational Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking an Educational Assistant to provide support to our teachers and students in the classroom. As the Educational Assistant, you will collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans, support classroom activities, and provide one-on-one assistance to students. Educational Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and inviting classroom environment and ensure students are following school rules
  • Assist and support teachers in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Administer tests, quizzes, and exams as assigned
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students are meeting academic and behavioral expectations
  • Participate in staff meetings and other school events

Educational Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Previous experience working in a classroom setting
  • Knowledge of instructional techniques and strategies, classroom management, and special education
  • Able to effectively communicate and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents
  • Patience and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Current CPR and first aid certification required
