Dosimetrist Job Summary
We are looking for a Dosimetrist to join our medical facility to develop and deliver radiation therapy treatment plans for cancer patients. - Perform accurate calculations to determine dose and volume of radiation
- Monitor patient progress throughout radiation therapy
- Document patient data and treatment results
- Maintain patient records and radiation safety protocols
- Educate patients and family members about radiation therapy
- Administer radiation treatments and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Dosimetrist Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in medical physics or related field
- Licensed or certified in radiation therapy in the state of practice
- At least 1 year of experience in radiation therapy
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Able to work with diverse populations and provide compassionate care
