Compensation and Benefits Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and implement compensation and benefits programs and policies, including salary administration and job classification systems
  • Manage the salary process to ensure the organization is competitively positioned in the marketplace
  • Monitor employee eligibility to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Develop and administer key employee benefits such as retirement plan, medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance
  • Develop and maintain benefit communications, employee handbooks, and other related documents
  • Analyze and evaluate benefit programs to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws
  • Design and manage incentive plans and bonus programs
  • Oversee the administration of payroll and timekeeping systems

Compensation and Benefits Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation and/or benefits management preferred
