Clinical Nurse Manager Job Summary

We need an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee our nursing staff and daily operations. In this role, you will collaborate with our clinical director to determine budget guidelines, expenditures, and staffing needs. You will evaluate nursing staff performance and recommend commendation or disciplinary action as necessary, as well as be directly involved in hiring and training new nursing staff, ensuring they understand our standard procedures and are equipped to provide excellent care to our patients. Candidates should have at least three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role.

Clinical Nurse Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review departmental budget and oversee revenues and expenditures to meet budget targets
  • Collaborate with clinical director to ensure the department has sufficient staff to cover all shifts
  • Hire and train new nurses
  • Ensure all nursing staff follow proper treatment and safety procedures
  • Evaluate nursing staff performance regularly

Clinical Nurse Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing; master's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of hospital nursing experience with 1+ years in a supervisory position
  • BLS and CPR Certification
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
