Behavior Technician Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Behavior Technician to join our team. The Behavior Technician will be responsible for providing direct and indirect management and support to clients who exhibit behavioral challenges in a variety of home and community settings. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that the individual’s behavior is managed in a safe, respectful, and effective manner.

Behavior Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform behavior assessments for patients in their homes or in an assigned clinic
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior plans to address challenging behaviors
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with family members, caregivers, and other professionals
  • Monitor and document client progress, and adjust plans as necessary
  • Provide behavior support and education to families and other professionals

Behavior Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field preferred
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management strategies
