Assistant Manager Job Summary

The assistant manager manages the scheduling for all sales associates, assists the GM with developing and managing promotions, order merchandise and handles all budgetary aspects of running the business. In addition to the day-to-day tasks, the assistant manager will hire and train sales associates to work on the floor and in the shipping department as well as beadept at organizing and solving problems.

  • Create reports, analyze and interpret retail data
  • Drive recruitment process and training & development
  • Secure adherence to company's policies and guidelines

Assistant Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years experience in retail service or sales
  • 2+ years of retail experience in a leadership capacity (e.g. management, shift leader, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively train and motivate sales associates
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
