Job Summary: As an Aircraft Marshaller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft on the ground at airports. Using a combination of hand signals, communication equipment, and specialized training, you will guide pilots and ground crew to coordinate aircraft taxiing, parking, and other ground maneuvers. Your expertise in aircraft handling and adherence to safety protocols are essential for maintaining airport operations and passenger safety.

• Aircraft Movement: Safely guide aircraft during ground movements, including taxiing to and from runways, parking at gates, and positioning for takeoff and landing.
• Hand Signals: Utilize standardized hand signals to communicate instructions to pilots, ground crew, and other personnel involved in aircraft operations.
• Radio Communication: Use radio communication equipment to relay instructions and coordinate movements with pilots and air traffic control as necessary.
• Safety Procedures: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that aircraft movements adhere to aviation regulations and airport rules. Report any safety hazards or issues promptly.
• Aircraft Types: Be familiar with various types of aircraft, including their sizes, configurations, and unique characteristics, to adapt marshalling techniques accordingly.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as aircraft evacuations, fires, or incidents, by following established procedures and assisting passengers and crew as needed.
• Aircraft Clearance: Ensure that aircraft have sufficient clearance from buildings, equipment, and other aircraft during all ground movements.
• Coordination: Collaborate with ground crew, ground services personnel, and air traffic control to ensure seamless aircraft movements and on-time departures and arrivals.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of aircraft movements and communicate any discrepancies or issues to appropriate authorities.

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or aviation-related training is a plus).
• Prior experience as an Aircraft Marshaller is advantageous but not always required; training may be provided.
• Knowledge of aviation safety regulations and airport rules.
• Proficient in using standardized hand signals for aircraft marshalling.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to operate radio communication equipment.
• Physical stamina and agility to stand, walk, and use hand signals for extended periods, even in adverse weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and strong situational awareness.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations, especially during emergencies.
• Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols and procedures.
• Flexibility in working hours, as this role often involves shift work and irregular hours.
• Certification as an Aircraft Marshaller, where applicable, is a plus.
