Where do internal auditors work?

Internal auditors work on-site with the organization which employs them. On-site auditing locations may include private business offices and firms, educational institutions, government institutions, non-profit organizations, or health care institutions. Internal auditors may be asked to travel between multiple organization locations, local or non-local.
