Healthcare managers provide services in a variety of settings like hospitals, specialized facilities or private medical practices. The healthcare manager typically has an office within the facility they work, where they oversee the day to day operations of their department. The field of healthcare management continues to grow, and as a result, new positions are opening up for managers outside of hospitals and doctors’ offices. Insurance companies, public health departments, rehab centers, and consulting firms also employ healthcare managers.
