How to become a healthcare manager?

Career: Healthcare Manager

One of the minimum qualifications to become a healthcare manager is a bachelor’s degree. Many employers prefer applicants to have graduate degrees. Typical areas of study include public health administration, health management, and business administration. Prior experience in the healthcare field is also required, though the amount of experience required differs for each job. Certain positions, especially those in nursing homes require additional certification. While certification isn’t necessary for most healthcare settings, many healthcare managers choose to become certified to add to their professional education and improve their ability to move up in their organization.
