According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, some exercise physiologists are self-employed and work with healthcare facilities or physical therapy service providers on a contract basis. Clinical exercise physiologists may find full-time employment in hospitals, medical clinics, or physical rehabilitation facilities. If you continue on to earn a Ph.D. in physiology, you may be able to teach or perform research at a university.
