What makes a good minister?

Career: Minister

A good minister has a serious religious vocation, a strong faith in God, and a close relationship with Christ. They have an extensive background in religion, specifically with their denomination. Most ministers earn a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree from divinity school in addition to professional training experience. Many churches also require licensure or certification to complete the ordination process. The best ministers also have a lot of compassion, strong communication and leadership skills, and the willingness to be on call for emergencies.
