What is a therapy aide?

A therapy aide assists a licensed therapist in providing care to patients overcoming speech physical or speech inabilities caused by illness, disability, or trauma. You can become a physical, occupational, or speech therapy aide directly after high-school, learning most skills on-the-job. Duties may include anything from preparing equipment and helping with therapeutic exercises to clerical duties, such as answering phones, keeping records, and ordering supplies.
