What does a resource efficiency manager do?

As a resource efficiency manager or REM, your job is to improve resource efficiency at one or more locations assigned to you. To do this, you may audit the area's energy usage, look for ways to reduce the consumption of water, or help clients decide which renewable energy project to implement. Resource efficiency managers also coordinate financing for projects, help develop master plans for increasing the use of renewable energy, and look for ways to provide the best value to clients. You are often asked to identify more savings than the service costs, thereby ensuring it's a net gain for the client.
