What does a brand protection manager do?

Career: Brand Protection Manager

A brand protection manager works to protect various products or intellectual property of a company. As a brand protection manager, your responsibilities include investigating unauthorized uses of your company’s brand in the market or online, determining if it violates patent, copyright, or trademark laws, and working with attorneys and law enforcement to prosecute when necessary. You can find work in this field with a bachelor’s in this career, but many employers prefer a master’s degree, or even a J.D. This is not an entry-level position, so lower level experience in brand protection is essential for building the necessary investigation skills and law knowledge.
