There are few formal qualifications to become an entry-level game tester. However, having a technical background, such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, animation, or a similar area of study, can be useful. Programming skills are also helpful when you need to describe technical problems to developers. In-Depth knowledge of video games and experience playing them is essential. Some game testers come from software development or have a software QA background. You also need to have strong verbal communication skills, and you must be able to work long hours.
