How to become an Avaya engineer?

Career: Avaya Engineer

Most Avaya engineer positions require you to have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, engineering, or a related field, though some employers may consider candidates who have extensive experience with Avaya Communication Manager (Avaya Aura Platforms) maintenance and installation but who do not have a degree. Senior positions require a master's degree and at least ten years of experience working with Avaya and similar systems. You must have experience with call center technology, inbound and outbound voice systems and networks with an emphasis in VoIP systems, and understand LAN protocols. Certification in your Avaya specialty is usually expected by many employers, such as the Avaya Implementation Professional Specialist (AIPS) and the Avaya Support Professional Specialist (ASPS) certifications.
