How to become a safety analyst?

To become a safety analyst, you must have a bachelor's degree in applied health science, environmental health, industrial health, public administration, or a related field. You also need several years of experience working in risk management, health and safety management, or human resources. Many start their careers in entry-level positions, assisting analysts in documenting risk assessments, accidents, and safety protocols while learning OSHA, EPA, and other regulations related to company protocols. Some employers also require you to become certified in CPR and First Aid. Additional qualifications include excellent communication skills and proficiency in basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
