To become a radiologist, you need a bachelor’s degree in the sciences and to complete medical school. Once you have finished your degrees, acquire a four-year radiology residency program to study under experienced radiologists. Pass the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Exam (COMLEX) to become licensed to practice. Earn certification from the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology to prove proficiency in your field.
