How to become a help desk administrator?

Career: Help Desk Administrator

A help desk administrator needs to have at least a high school diploma or a GED certificate. If you provide technical help, you may need a computer or IT-related associate or bachelor’s degree. The primary qualifications you need to start a career as a help desk administrator are customer service and communication skills. In this job, you also need troubleshooting abilities to help customers and clients solve issues. If you can’t help them, you need to direct callers to the appropriate expert. Even in non-IT-related help desk jobs, you need computer skills to log each interaction with a customer and update records when necessary.
