How do you become a pastry chef?

To become a pastry chef, you must first complete a high school diploma or equivalent. From there, you have a few options. Some aspiring party chefs may work at the entry level in a restaurant, hotel, or bakery under a skilled pastry chef to develop the skills needed. Others complete a certification program such an associate degree culinary school either before they begin working in the industry, or after they have some basic experience.
