    The Infrastructure & Operations Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of IT infrastructure and operations initiatives across the enterprise. This role focuses on ensuring effective project governance, maintaining project schedules, coordinating cross-functional activities, tracking deliverables, and supporting successful execution of infrastructure programs across network, cloud, security, data center, and end-user computing domains.
    This position is part of the IT Global Infrastructure & Operations team based out of Sunnyvale. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
    In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
    • Coordinate project activities, schedules, milestones, and deliverables across multiple infrastructure and operations initiatives.
    • Support project managers, program leads, and technical teams in executing network, cloud, data center, security, and operational improvement projects.
    • Maintain project plans, status reports, meeting documentation, action items, and project schedules.
    • Facilitate communication and coordination between infrastructure, security, application, vendor, and business stakeholders.
    • Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and visibility.
    • Prepare project dashboards, KPI reports, executive summaries, and governance materials.
    • Coordinate project governance meetings, steering committee reviews, and stakeholder updates.
    • Monitor project budgets, resource allocations, and procurement activities in collaboration with project managers and finance teams.
    • Assist in vendor coordination, contract tracking, onboarding activities, and delivery management.
    • Support operational excellence initiatives focused on automation, service improvements, process standardization, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure project documentation is organized, maintained, and compliant with enterprise standards and policies.
    • Contribute to PMO and project management best practices across the Infrastructure & Operations organization.
    The essential requirements of the job include:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related experience.
    • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, project administration, PMO support, or IT project management.
    • Experience supporting infrastructure, cloud, network, security, or operations-related projects.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
    • Experience maintaining project schedules, action logs, RAID logs, and status reporting.
    • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • CAPM, PMP, Prince2 Foundation, or equivalent project management certification.
    • Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) environment.
    • Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT service management frameworks.
    • Experience supporting infrastructure transformation, cloud migration, or enterprise technology modernization programs.
    • Knowledge of project governance, reporting, risk management, and change management processes.
    • Experience working in regulated, healthcare, or global enterprise environments.
