    Job description

    About the Role
We are looking for a proven corporate communications professional to help shape and drive the story of how Uber makes money, translating our strategy, business milestones, and growth priorities into clear narratives for business, financial, and enterprise audiences. Reporting directly to the Sr Director, Corporate Communications, this individual will help set key aspects of Uber's corporate PR strategy globally, across Mobility, Delivery, Advertising, Uber For Business, Uber Health, Uber AI Solutions, Uber Direct, and more.
    About the Team
The most successful technology companies are forward-thinking storytellers who can effectively engage business, technical, and consumer audiences alike to illustrate the magic behind-and the benefits of-their products.
Our team is responsible for telling Uber's story, whether it's transforming how we get around and supporting the lives of people who value independent, flexible work; helping reduce congestion in cities and complement public transportation; or empowering local commerce through our delivery offerings. This work is about building deep relationships with key journalists and opinion leaders, and partnering across the company to create campaigns that tell our story in new and effective ways. We also help investors, partners, and enterprise customers understand Uber's platform, strategy, and business model-clearly, credibly, and consistently.
    What You'll Do
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy to proactively drive B2B and financial narratives across all of Uber's business lines.
    • Counsel senior executives and business leads on communications challenges and opportunities, finding opportunities to advance Uber's business strategy to complement communications objectives.
    • Cultivate and maintain deep relationships with top-tier business, financial, and trade journalists, as well as secure key conferences and speaking engagements for executives.
    • Draft and edit all communications materials, including comprehensive announcement plans, press releases, talking points, and social posts.
    • Lead corporate issues management for B2B/financial narratives, partnering with business, legal, and policy teams on both rapid response and longer-term reputation mitigation.
    • Highlight key successes within Uber's business internationally for a US audience, and support regional teams for global announcements.
    Basic Qualifications
    • 10+ years of experience in PR or corporate communications, with a significant focus on B2B, enterprise, and/or financial communications.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing high-impact communications strategies that support a wide range of business objectives.
    • Comprehensive understanding of the media landscape and fluency across financial and investor communications.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to translate product milestones, business strategy, and financial results into compelling stories that can break through the noise with business press and enterprise audiences.
    • Experience influencing senior stakeholders across Finance/IR/Legal/Product/Sales with competing incentives and tight deadlines.
    • Bachelor's degree.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience working in-house at a global, publicly-traded technology or platform company, with a focus on B2B, financial, or advertising-specific storytelling.
    • Experience in finance, investment banking, or equity research.
    • Experience leading communications for multiple business lines simultaneously.
