About the RoleUber Direct enables merchants to unlock last-mile delivery by tapping into Uber's expansive logistics network and marketplace. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, working in a fast-paced environment, and taking ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives.In this highly collaborative role, you will partner with teams across Local Operations, Commercial, Marketplace Operations, Product, and Finance to identify opportunities, execute initiatives, and scale best practices across the business.You will leverage data to uncover insights, diagnose root causes of operational challenges, and inform decision-making across a variety of domains. Depending on focus areas, this may include improving merchant performance, optimizing fulfillment and delivery workflows, or enhancing overall system reliability. This is a highly analytical role that requires strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets to drive measurable business impact.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about operations, enjoys connecting strategy to execution, and is motivated to shape how Uber Direct evolves within the broader Delivery ecosystem.What You'll Do- Direct Strategy & Optimization: Proactively scope and lead multiple projects to improve the Direct business; take accountability for project outcomes, ensure delivery on project critical metrics, & keep others informed of progress- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze sophisticated data, build models, and aggregate insights to drive key business decisions and policies

Define critical metrics and develop dashboards to track business performance; report findings to senior leadership to define long-term strategy and decision-making- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between Operations, Product, Tech, and Finance. You will advocate for operational needs in the product roadmap and ensure that new features align with the unique requirements of the B2B Grocery merchants- End-to-End Project Management: Scope, launch, and scale high-priority projects. You will take ownership of the full lifecycle-from initial ideation and financial modeling to execution and post-launch measurementBasic Qualifications- 2-3 years of professional work experience in a related field (start-up, operations, strategy, analytics, tech)- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Strong problem-solving, Excel/Google Sheets and SQL proficiency and AI tooling- Experience creating dashboard (Tableau/Datastudio/Looker) and KPIs tracking- Bachelor degree a technical degree (engineering, mathematical, STEM, etc)- Ability to build deep cross-functional relationships across a broad organization, foster collaborative work environment, and understand problems from diverse perspectives.
