Job description


  • Responsible for the development and implementation of engineering projects to improve the manufacturing operations and processes;
  • Designs and implements control systems and panels to maintain and improve manufacturing capabilities and sustainability
  • Prepares cost estimates for new items needed for production and new or modified equipment control needs;
  • Selects manufacturing controls equipment; prepares specifications, confers with vendors and prepares capital appropriations;
  • Responsible for advising Manager, Engineering as to plant equipment needs and pending problem areas involving plant equipment;
  • Assists with preparation of expense and capital forecasts, budgets, controls and expenditures;
  • Troubleshoot, modify or create new controls, including PLC and other programming.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years of Electrical Engineering experience is preferred
  • Must have experience with programming ladder logic, create and read electrical schematics, specify and size electrical components.
  • Experience with cost estimates is preferred
  • Experience with troubleshooting, modifying, or creating new controls; including PLCs; experience with Allen Bradley is strongly preferred
  • Experience with VFD drives, servo drives, IO racks is preferred
