Allied Universal is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to grow market share across a regional territory, build relationships with executive decision-makers, compete for large multi-million-dollar contracts, and win new business.

In this outside sales role, the Business Development Manager will own the full sales cycle from opportunity development through presentations, proposals, negotiations, and contract execution while partnering with a Business Development Associate (BDA) who helps generate leads and schedule meetings. You'll partner with organizations to solve business challenges through customized security and workforce solutions while building long-term client relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Win New Business and Drive Revenue Growth

  • Build pipeline, develop target accounts, and own the full sales cycle from first meeting through contract execution
  • Generate qualified leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, social selling, and support from internal resources
  • Consistently win new business, exceed revenue goals, and expand market share across your assigned territory

Sell Strategic Solutions

  • Identify client challenges and business objectives, develop customized security solutions, and position Allied Universal's industry-leading value proposition to win new business.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, RFP responses, pricing strategies, and executive-level recommendations

Build Executive-Level Relationships

  • Develop consultative relationships with C-suite executives, operations, facilities, security, and procurement leaders to drive new business opportunities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor within the local business community

Manage Territory Performance

  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and opportunity tracking using Salesforce CRM
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and market dynamics
  • Execute strategic territory growth plans focused on increasing revenue and market share

Collaborate to Win

  • Partner closely with operations leadership and internal stakeholders to develop winning solutions and successful client implementations
  • Work cross-functionally to support customer satisfaction and long-term business growth

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current driver's license if driving a company vehicle or personal vehicle in the course of conducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of outside B2B consultative sales, business development, territory sales, account executive, sales representative, or related sales experience
  • Proven success as a sales hunter with a track record of prospecting, building pipeline, winning new accounts, and closing new business
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and full sales cycle
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales quotas, revenue goals, and growth objectives
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM or similar sales technology platforms
  • Ability to travel throughout all areas of the territory, including some overnight travel
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field of study; high school diploma or equivalent required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience selling security services, facility services, workforce solutions, staffing services, outsourcing solutions, building services, recurring revenue services, or other business-to-business service offerings (5 or more years is optimal)
  • History of success in competitive environments, including sales awards (President's Club), leadership roles, academics, athletics, or other performance-based achievements
  • Participated in a formal sales training program
  • Experience building business through networking, industry associations, referrals, and community engagement
