Job description

Business Development Manager — Build the Market. Make an Impact.

Senior Helpers of Silver Spring is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to lead our growth. We're looking for a proven relationship-builder who knows how to open doors, ask for the business, and turn cold prospects into long-term referral partners — someone who's spent years earning trust across the healthcare and senior care community, not waiting for leads to come to them.

If you've consistently exceeded sales goals, and have real relationships in healthcare or senior care, we want to talk to you. This is a chance to build something from the ground up, backed by one of the nation's most respected home care brands.

Why Senior Helpers?
Since 2002, Senior Helpers has been a national leader in in-home senior care and a Great Place to Work® Certified company. At Senior Helpers of Silver Spring, you'll get the autonomy to build your market, the support of an experienced leadership team, and the chance to make a real difference for older adults and their families. Success here is recognized — and rewarded.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a business development plan for Silver Spring and surrounding communities
  • Build referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, rehab facilities, assisted living and skilled nursing communities, hospice agencies, and other healthcare partners
  • Prospect through cold calls, in-person visits, networking, and community events
  • Manage and grow a referral pipeline using our CRM
  • Run sales presentations, lunch-and-learns, and community outreach events
  • Track pipeline performance, referral trends, and conversion metrics

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of outside sales or business development experience
  • Healthcare, senior care, home health, hospice, or related healthcare sales background preferred
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Confident prospecting, cold-calling, and closing
  • Strong CRM and organizational habits
  • Comfortable being measured on activity and results, not just relationships
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, auto insurance

Preferred

  • Existing referral relationships in Silver Spring's healthcare community
  • Experience selling services, not products
  • Knowledge of the local senior care continuum

Compensation & Benefits
$75k base (commensurate with experience) • Uncapped commission on new client revenue • First-year OTE $120,000+ • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) • PTO

Senior Helpers of Silver Spring is independently owned and operated, proudly serving seniors and families throughout Montgomery County and surrounding communities.
