As Cost/Operations Financial Analyst, you will:
  • Provide detailed cost analysis for new models. Review the purchased parts, bill of material structure, and operational router assignments.
  • Work in partnership with the plant controllers, product planning and the operations finance organizations to ensure the accuracy of the annual standard cost setting process. Facilitate standard cost discussions. Proactively seek to improve the accuracy and transparency of the standard cost setting process and implement best in class solutions.
  • Perform MPV (Material Price Variance) analysis to identify cost drivers and support purchasing and production decisions.
  • Conduct E&O (Excess and Obsolete) inventory analysis to assess risk, support reserve calculations, and highlight opportunities to reduce waste.
  • Provide cost accounting guidance across multiple sites and assist plant finance teams in the analysis, preparation and reporting of cost, variances and operational performance.
  • Analyze and reconcile inventory transactions for accuracy and completeness in support of monthly financial reporting. Assist month-end close of the general ledger through production of necessary journal entries to accurately report cost and inventory values.
  • Coordinate and provide information to the outside auditing firm during annual audit and plant physical inventories.
  • Show strong passion and a sense of urgency about reaching targets, including material, labor & conversion costs (overhead) productivity, and inventory metrics.
  • Contribute to a culture of high performance, development and continuous improvement that values accountability, learning and a commitment to quality.

SCHEDULE:
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option two days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related area.
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience with a desire to learn operations accounting.
  • The ideal candidate has a growth mindset and is energetic, friendly, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about numbers and technology.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
