Tax Preparer *Available for Immediate Hire*

Established full-service CPA firm located in the Humble-Kingwood area seeks to hire an experienced Tax Preparer.

Our firm handles a wide range of clients with varying tax and bookkeeping needs. Our employees must have proper etiquette and customer service skills, a professional appearance and attitude, and maintain a high work ethic whether you are working with coworkers, clients, or by yourself.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years of intermediate to advanced tax preparation experience;
• Public tax accounting highly desired;
• Intermediate to advanced QuickBooks user;
• Familiarity with tax input data into tax software;
• Client Bookkeeping experience highly desired, but not required;
• Strong communication skills, highly organized, efficient and accurate, and able to meet all deadlines;
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Software;
• Must be available to work extended hours during busy tax seasons;
• Please answer all screening questions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. Preparation of federal and state tax forms and returns (simple to complex in nature) for individuals, partnerships, businesses, and corporations.

• Organizes client tax documents for data input into tax software;
• Enters tax data into tax software while maintaining attention to detail;
• Interacts with client in order to gain any missing information needed to complete the tax return;
• Researches tax subjects to find the correct way to report client data to the federal and state agencies.

II. Ability to review and make adjustments including:

• Reconciliations;
• Reclassifying Entries;
• Making Journal Entries;
