Job Summary

The Security Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and guidance in the implementation and management of security systems, products, and services designed to protect confidential company and customer data. This position will assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of security systems, as well as provide security guidance and education to internal customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtual private networks
• Monitor security systems and respond to security-related incidents
• Develop, document, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards
• Research and evaluate new security products and technologies
• Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of security products and services
• Provide security education and training to internal customers
• Assist in the development and testing of applications, systems, and networks to identify security vulnerabilities

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in information security systems, policies, and procedures
• Knowledge of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtual private networks
• Knowledge of security best practices and standards, such as NIST and ISO 27001
• Good understanding of network and system administration
• Experience with scripting and programming languages
