Job Summary:
This role is for an Interventional Radiology Technologist responsible for assisting in interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment. The technologist will work 4 ten-hour shifts, including every third weekend, and participate in on-call duties. They will also float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs.
Location:Decatur, Illinois, United States
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and prepping the site.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures.
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Participate in primary on-call duties.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT certification.
- IEMA license.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an IR Tech.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- N/A
Special Considerations:
- Will work every third weekend.
- Primary call 2 nights a week and every third weekend.
- May be called off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without pay.
- Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager.
- RTO requests ideally no more than 5 days.
Scheduling:
- 4 ten-hour shifts.
- 6:30 am - 5:00 pm.
- Will work every third weekend.
