A pediatric radiologist is a specialized doctor who works on the diagnosis and treatment of childhood diseases and injuries. In this career, you use advanced imaging equipment to conduct medical tests on children and infants. Your responsibilities include delivering radiation treatment to children and teens who may have cancer. Other duties include analyzing images from X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, and MRIs. A pediatric radiologist is an expert in children’s health and may diagnose and monitor any number of illnesses or injuries. You may also teach new residents who are finishing their certification or conduct research.
