The contractor will support the execution, standardization, and technical governance of Modern Meeting Room deployments across North America. The individual must have strong AV implementation experience, be capable of making on the spot technical decisions, and work effectively with onsite AV teams and vendor partners. They will participate in room readiness validation, hardware scope assessment, and deployment execution
Core Responsibilities
1. Room Technology & Deployment Support
• Assess meeting rooms to determine required hardware based on documented standards and project scope.
• Perform onsite or remote triage to ensure rooms meet readiness criteria before installation.
2. Vendor & Onsite Team Coordination
• Serve as a technical liaison to onsite AV supervisor and guide installation decisions when scope or hardware availability is unclear.
• Provide direction during room remediation, equipment swaps, and deployment issues.
3. Hardware Installation & Configuration
• Support installation, cabling validation, compute device imaging/config, peripheral integration, and Microsoft Teams Rooms setup.
• Validate compliance with meeting room standards.
4. Project Execution & Reporting
• Execute tasks within program timelines for room upgrades, migrations, or refresh projects.
• Document completed work, exceptions, and room status.
• Collaborate with program leads to forecast deployment timelines and material needs.
5. Quality Control & Standard Enforcement
• Confirm that installed AV compute devices and peripherals meet approved standards.
• Identify gaps in room readiness and escalate issues with recommended solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
• Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms systems.
• Proficiency with AV compute hardware (e.g., Lenovo Core PCs, ), peripherals, cameras, microphones, and room controllers.
• Experience working with scheduling panels (e.g., Logitech TAP).
• Familiarity with AV infrastructure, room cabling, switching, and signal flow.
• Ability to interpret room standards, network requirements, and diagrams.
Deployment Experience
• Demonstrated ability to support large scale AV deployments across multiple rooms and sites.
• Experience working with or alongside major AV integrators (preferably AVI SPL).
Decision Making & Independence
• Ability to make on the spot determinations about hardware reuse vs. installation of new devices.
• Comfortable operating with minimal oversight while still escalating appropriately.
Documentation & Communication
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting room status, scope discrepancies, and technical findings.
• Ability to interact professionally with vendors, onsite support teams, and technology leadership.
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
• Familiarity with asset systems and structured deployment documentation.
• Prior involvement in room modernization programs, tech refresh initiatives, or system migrations.
