YMCA of Central Ohio Personal Trainer
Looking to turn your passion for fitness into a meaningful job? The Gahanna YMCA is hiring a Personal Trainer to join our team! We're looking for someone who's excited to help others reach their health goals and create a positive experience in the gym. This part-time role includes evening shifts with two schedule options-either Tuesday through Thursday or Friday through Sunday. Develop lifelong safety, leadership and communication skills
Duties include:
- Conducts personal training sessions with Members relevant to their goals; demonstrates proper use of equipment in the wellness center; observes the Members' use of equipment and detects/corrects movement patterns that may not contribute to goal achievement.
- Schedules each session, and begins each session on-time. Arrives 5 minutes prior to session for set-up, and stays 5 minutes after the session for clean-up. Ensures all sessions are conducted within the time allowed. Signs off on each session after it is completed. Has member sign-off on each session after it is completed.
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with Members; helps Members connect with each other and the YMCA.
- Regularly checks on Members' progress in meeting goals (both formally and informally); documents the conversations and progress using appropriate tools (i.e. DAXKO Engage, GroupExPro, physical trainer logbooks).
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.
