Job description
Position Summary:
Daystar - provides day programs to individuals with disabilities. The emphasis of the program is to provide comprehensive individualized services, affording each person served the opportunity to achieve their greatest level of independence. Services are available to individuals who have secured a Florida Medicaid waiver and private funded individuals
Essential Functions:
- Works to keep individuals safe, clean, and dry.
- Performs routine checks and changes participants at least twice daily.
- Follows program goals and ensures alignment with participants' IPP's.
- Maintains daily notes on participants.
- Assists with feeding and teeth brushing once daily.
- Assists participants with all daily activities.

Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to present proof of High School Diploma or transcript showing graduated, GED, or College transcript.
- Preferred candidates must have at least one year of experience working with the disabled population and or two years of child care experience.
- Must pass a Level 2 Background Screening. Level 2 is a fingerprint check of state and federal criminal history information conducted through the Florida Department of law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Physical Demands:
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to safely supervise participants.
