Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Simulation Coordinator will
Facilitate the American Heart Association's BLS and ACLS programs for our colleagues and community partners,
supervise day-to-day simulation/skills training of the CSSC, including: scheduling of training sessions, meetings, scenario development needs, routine maintenance and upkeep of the center, equipment, and supplies.
Ensure the goals and objectives of the center are met in accordance with established limitations or specifications of priorities, time limitations, and funding
Collaborate with MCHS staff, simulation staff and faculty to identify course objectives and expected student outcomes for simulation activities
Create and program simulations for all Simulation Center customers.
Function as a hospital and community liaison, fostering and supporting outreach and relationship-building activities

Position Purpose:

What You Will Do:

  • Provide instructional support in the clinical skills and simulation labs for physicians, students and faculty to improve competencies and skills in meeting course objectives through simulation
  • Incorporate best practice and evidenced-based research in program development with a focus on standardization and efficiencies across the healthcare continuum
  • Seek out and supervise clinical skills and simulation experiences

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree required or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated hospital-based simulation experience (above and beyond the basic requirement).
  • Licensure / Certification: Clinical experience as a registered nurse or paramedic, active licensure/certification highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years hospital-based and/or healthcare based academic simulation experience, including high-fidelity simulation programming and utilization of skills training equipment.
  • Demonstrating effective leadership and team-building with multidisciplinary teams across a health system.
