Job Description

A Receiving & Fulfillment Associate supports the operations of the brand with an emphasis on stock receiving processes, product order fulfillment, and nursery maintenance tasks to uphold terrain’s four promises: to welcome, to inspire, to inform and to appreciate our customer.

Customer Experience

BRAND REPRESENTATIVE: contributes to the store and customer experience by being positive, respectful, and helpful to others
CUSTOMER SUPPORT: assists the customer in-store pickup process including loading of product into vehicles; supports the omni customer with fulfilling all online plant orders
STORE ENVIRONMENT: supports timely execution of product receiving and placement; assists the nursery team with plant care tasks as well as maintains outdoor areas and systems in all seasons

Teamwork + Communication

SHARE KNOWLEDGE: actively participates in daily meetings and projects; facilitates the sharing of relevant information regarding shipment receiving, order fulfillment, and back of house organization
CONTRIBUTE: takes initiative and works productively with the retail and consolidation teams to achieve common, collaborative goals; remains flexible as priorities change due to business needs
COMMUNICATION LOOP: communicates daily with the leadership team on flow of shipment, plant quality, shipping damages, sku issues, and shipment count discrepancies; assists with claims documentation and communication as needed
STOCKROOM OWNERSHIP: partners with the leadership team to oversee organizational standards in back of house while keeping all receiving, shipping, stock, supply, and production areas clean

Visual + Business Operations

RECEIVING FUNDAMENTALS: collaborates with key partners to receive all shipment deliveries and process according to visual standards; maintains a record for all receiving paperwork for store’s inventory integrity
UTILIZE IN STORE TECHNOLOGY: understands and effectively uses store systems and MPOS applications that support stock responsibilities such as the RF app, labeling app, and price verification functions
ORDER FULFILLMENT: assists with pulling buyer requested product for shipment to other locations and processes required transfer paperwork with accuracy; works with the consolidation transportation & shipping team to fulfill distribution requests
AWARENESS: adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store
