Strategies To Empower People (S.T.E.P.), a Supported Living Services agency that supports adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities, is currently seeking individuals for our Direct Support Professional positions. We support over 300 individuals and have several full-time and part-time positions currently available.

This is an entry-level position but we welcome all levels of experience. Hands on training provided.

1.) Caregiver ("Direct Support Professional")

Provide support and assistance to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to live on their own successfully in their homes and in the community. Responsibilities include but not limited to cooking, cleaning, shopping, budgeting, personal care/personal hygiene, teaching independent living skills, medicine administration, etc. Experience in this type of work or related work helpful but not required; training is provided.

Hours: Schedules and hours vary. Weekday, weekend, and overnight schedules. Part time and full time available.

Wage: $14.75 to $15.25 per hour (pay depends on number of clients working with). $13.00 per hour for IHSS. $12.00 per hour for sleep time. Mileage reimbursement included (if applicable).

Although experience with the above positions is preferred, it is not required. We will train the right person who has the "HeartRight" attitude and wants to do this type of work.

-Shifts are tailored to meet the needs of the developmentally disabled adults that S.T.E.P. supports.
-OPEN AVAILABILITY preferred.
-Some shifts involve driving and require: California driver's license, reliable transportation, and up-to-date auto insurance.
-FULL-TIME and PART-TIME shifts available.
