Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician (BMET) at the Naval Medical Center in Norfolk Virginia.

This contract position offers:

Job Requirements:

The Biomedical Equipment Repair technician (BMET) III Technician will have the following requirements:

Possess a high school diploma or GED
Associate’s degree in electronic or biomedical equipment or biomedical equipment technology
Minimum of four years exp. in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment
Considerable knowledge of electronic circuitry technical aspects of electronic equipment and its operation, repair and maintenance, application and repair of computers and servers and how they interface with medical equipment and theory current regulatory requirements
Basic knowledge of networking,
Substantial knowledge basic anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
Knowledge color code conventions used in component and wiring marking and test equipment
Ability to analyze, repair and test equipment, preform preventive maintenance inspections, run diagnostic programs and lift up to 50 pound of equipment
Valid Driver’s License for the entire of service
