As a Maintenance Technician you will work in a fast paced, multifaceted environment and be able to communicate effectively. The primary focus of the Equipment Maintenance Technician position is to provide support to the Engineering/Maintenance Department, whose goal is to effectively maintain all systems, equipment and assets in good working order to ensure maximum uptime. Under minimal supervision the individual will provide oversight to the asset management of Radiometer, manufacturing support and auxiliary equipment.

Major Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage and support in a hands-on way, the Production / Testing equipment (Maintenance) & Facility team to achieve yearly improvement goals in the areas of: Unplanned machine/facility downtime, reduced maintenance/facility expenses, and percentage of equipment with formal preventive maintenance programs in place and sustained.
  • Leads and support in a hands-on way, the Calibration technician and program to ensure applicable tools/fixtures/equipment have calibration requirements stated and those are adhered to (quality and on-time).
  • Conduct equipment and facility repairs directly, as needed. Conduct calibrations directly, as needed.
  • Effectively supports all outsourced contracts / contractors / service vendors, including outsourced janitorial services.
  • Leads and supports the transition to, and sustain the utilization of, a computerized maintenance management system to manage and track maintenance and calibration tasks as well as equipment downtime, in order to support equipment upgrades &/or new purchases.
  • Seek out and improve internal customer feedback regarding maintenance support levels to continually improve internal customer satisfaction levels.
  • Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed.


Required Education, Experience & Skills
  • Certificate in or equivalent experience of 2-3 years within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining a variety of electric, pneumatic and automated equipment.
  • Total Productive Maintenance/ Manufacturing (TPM) management experience including the utilization of maintenance/calibration management software, required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Good verbal, documentation, communication and problem-solving skills.


Desired Education, Experience & Skills
  • Prior experience with applying lean methodology and tools to improve operations and / or overall business processes
